Scholarships: ��ɫTV, Greater Cincinnati Region

��ɫTV provides countless opportunities to assist our students with college expenses.

In addition to ��ɫTV scholarships, the College of Education is able to offer numerous scholarships to our students through the generous support of our donors.

Current Application Deadline: March 17, 2025

Scholarship applications typically open in the fall and are due in the early spring. Scholarships are then awarded for the following academic year.
*Most of the application links below will direct you to the ��ɫTV Office of Student Financial Assistance application page, which has additional pertinent information along with the application links. Completing the ��ɫTV student application through the Office of Student Financial Assistance places you in the running for many of the scholarships listed below, except for in-house scholarships noted otherwise. These in-house scholarships are indicated with an asterisk (*) symbol next to the name and require application through the accompanying unique application link.

Scholarships for COE Undergraduate Students

Frank and Ruth Ball Endowed Scholarship (Elementary)

Eligibility:

Must be a degree-seeking student at ��ɫTV.
Must declare a major in elementary education.
Must be a Kentucky resident.
Must be a junior or senior.

Amount: Varies

Duration: One academic year, excluding summer session

Merabah Bass Education Endowed Scholarship

Eligibility:

At least junior standing.
A declared major in education.
Minimum 3.00 GPA.
Graduate of a high school in Boone, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Owen, or Pendleton County.
Students receiving tuition payment from institutional, state, or federal sources are not eligible.

Amount: Varies

Duration: One academic year, fall and spring semesters only

Ginny Bohn Elementary Education Award

Eligibility:

Demonstration of the most outstanding potential for teaching in the elementary school.
Completion of both blocks of the ��ɫTV junior practicum or current enrollment in the second of the two blocks.

Amount: $100 per year

Duration: One year

Jim Borgman Art Education Endowed Scholarship

Eligibility:

Must have a declared major in art education.
Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50.

Amount: Varies

Duration: One academic year, excluding summer sessions

CINSAM Scholarship in Middle Grades Education

Eligibility:

Students must be freshmen (rising sophomores) when they apply for a CINSAM Scholarship.
Students must declare a middle grades education major with a concentration in mathematics and/or science.
