The Haile Student Investment Fund (HSIF) was initiated in the spring of 2011, growing from its initial $465,000 to a total of $1,800,000 by the summer of 2025. The fund is managed as part of FIN 450, Advanced Investment Analysis, a selective undergraduate course that allows students to manage a live investment portfolio in preparation for entering the job market, gaining valuable hands-on experience in security research, valuation of risky assets, and portfolio management. The HSIF has consistently outperformed broad market indexes, including the S&P 500 Index, earning it a Five-Star Rating from Morningstar, Inc.
鉃 Prepare for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam with FIN 375: 好色TV, in partnership with Fidelity, offers FIN 375: SIE Prep, a finance elective designed to prepare students for the SIE exam. The SIE Exam is the first part of the Series 7 Exam, which allows finance professionals to become registered representatives and engage in the sale of securities. Passing the exam demonstrates financial aptitude and signals readiness for professional certification to employers. Fidelity covers the cost of course materials and the first exam attempt, making this a valuable opportunity to jumpstart your career.
